JAKARTA. PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) recorded net profit of IDR 28.94 trillion in 2022, proliferating 43.3% year-on-year (yoy) or compared to the same period in 2021.

According to IDNFinancials record, ASII’s profit growth in 2022 is in line with the increasing revenue, hitting IDR 301.38 trillion. The growth rate was booked at 29.1% yoy.

Based on business lines, in 2022, the highest contributor to ASII’s revenue was the heavy equipment, mining, construction and energy segment, generating IDR 123.61 trillion. Then, the automotive segment brought in IDR 121.1 trillion, followed by the financial services of IDR 26.74 trillion, the agribusiness segment of IDR 21.83 trillion, the logistic and infrastructure segment of IDR 7.9 trillion, the information technology segment of IDR 2.9 trillion, and the property segment of IDR 1.1 trillion.

Most segments indicated positive trend in 2022, save for the agribusiness and information technology segments. In 2022, the revenue from the agribusiness was corrected 10.2% yoy to IDR 21.83 trillion, while the revenue from the information technology segment was corrected 11.8% to IDR 2.91 trillion.

Until December 31, 2023, ASII reported cash and cash equivalent of IDR 61.3 trillion. Meanwhile, its total assets and equity reached IDR 413.3 trillion and IDR 243.72 trillion, respectively. (KR/ZH)
