JAKARTA - Following the previous day's positive net foreign, good news from foreign investor trading returned on Friday, February 24. The total amount of shares purchased by foreigners increased to 2.54 billion, with 1.32 billion shares purchased from PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). GOTO also had the highest net volume, with over 422 million shares. Total foreign sales then closed at 2.15 billion, leaving net foreign sales in the green at 387,291,700 shares.

Aside from GOTO, shares of energy and chemical issuer PT Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk (ESSA) are particularly appealing to foreign investors. Foreign investors purchased 90.81 million shares for a net volume of 74.73 million. After that, 77.93 million shares of mining issuer PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were also purchased, bringing the net volume to over 66 million shares. Furthermore, foreign funds were used to purchase 28.93 million shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) and 20.24 million shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), for nearly 20 million shares in net volume each.

Foreign investors, on the other hand, sold the most shares of the brand-new issuer, PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), totaling 130,100,300. PGEO also had the lowest net volume, at -91.36 million. Shares of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) were also sold, totaling around 54.79 million, with a net volume of -34.24 million. Following that, 34.15 million shares of PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) were sold. BCAP's net volume was close to -30 million shares due to the meager foreign purchases. Foreign investors also bought 48.27 million shares of PT Jayamas Medica Industri Tbk (OMED) and 22.46 million shares of PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI). The net volume reported by the two issuers was approximately negative 21 to 22 million shares. (KD)
