JAKARTA – PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk (MIDI) recorded net profit of IDR 399.12 billion in 2022, soaring 47.99% from IDR 269.69 billion seen in the same period in 2021. The profit surge coincided with adequate revenue growth.

In the 2022 Financial Report quoted Thursday (2/3), Rullyanto, President Director of Midi Utama Indonesia, revealed that its net profit also increased 15% to IDR 15.62 trillion in 2022 from IDR 13.584 trillion in 2022. The gross profit also rose yearly from IDR 3.42 trillion to IDR 3.95 trillion in 2022.

In 2022, the revenue came from the food segment that generated IDR 9.13 trillion, fresh foods of IDR 2.13 trillion, and non-food segment of IDR 4.34 trillion. For comparison, in 2021, the food segment brought in IDR 7.86 trillion, while fresh food and non-food segment turned in IDR 1.81 trillion and IDR 3.89 trillion.

Based on its sales region, in 2022, Greater Jakarta Area contributed IDR 7.03 trillion of revenue, followed by Java (outside Greater Jakarta Area) that brought in IDR 2.15 trillion. Meanwhile, the revenue from outside Java reached IDR 6.18 trillion. In 2021, Greater Jakarta Area’s sales clocked up to IDR 6.18 trillion, while Java’s (outside Greater Jakarta Area) and outside Java’s sales reached IDR 1.85 trillion and IDR 5.54 trillion. (LK/ZH)
