JAKARTA. PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) will distribute cash dividends worth IDR 241.618 per share or a total of IDR 2.8 trillion.

Christiana Maria Damanik, Corporate Secretary of MEGA, said that the plan had received approval from the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) which was held last week. At the meeting, shareholders agreed to allocate 70% of net profit for the 2022 fiscal year to be distributed as cash dividends.

The cum dividend on the regular and negotiated markets is scheduled for March 6, 2023, and on the cash market on March 8, 2023. The dividend payment is scheduled for March 28, 2023.

According to idnfinancials.com data, MEGA posted a net profit of IDR 4.05 trillion in the 2022 fiscal year. In addition, the company also has a retained earnings balance of IDR 1.22 trillion, and total equity of IDR 20.63 trillion.

In addition to approving the allocation of cash dividends, MEGA shareholders also approved an allocation of IDR 77.66 million from 2022 net profit as a reserve fund. The remaining IDR 1.22 trillion was recorded as retained earnings.

According to idnfinancials.com data, 58.02% of MEGA's shares are controlled by PT Mega Corpora. Meanwhile, the remaining 41.98% is owned by public investors. (KR/LM)
