Matahari was still at loss of IDR 429.63 billion in 2022
JAKARTA – PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA), a modern retail chain owner, still suffered from the current year’s loss in 2022 despite its 5.43% growth in revenue. The loss was seen increasing 27.28% to IDR 429.63 billion in 2022 from IDR 337.54 billion in 2021.
In the Financial Report of 2022 quoted Monday (6/3), Adrian Suherman, President Director of Matahari Putra Prima, mentioned that the revenue climbed from IDR 6.65 trillion in 2021 to IDR 7.01 trillion in 2022. The revenue was made up of direct sales of IDR 6.93 trillion and consignations of IDR 479.96 billion.
Its gross profit clocked up to IDR 1.28 trillion in 2022, also shifting from IDR 1.19 trillion in 2021. However, its operating loss worsened from IDR 6.28 billion in 2021 to IDR 210.94 billion in 2022. It resulted from increases of selling expenses, administrative expenses, and others.
The loss before tax was also recorded growing from IDR 314.91 billion in 2021 to IDR 397.03 billion in 2022. Lastly, its current year’s comprehensive loss in 2022 was recorded at IDR 41.38 billion, swelling from IDR 316.70 billion in 2021. (LK/ZH)
