JAKARTA - On Tuesday, March 7, the volume of foreign spending on shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) reached 1.81 billion shares, directly impacting a net foreign volume surplus of 609,688,900 shares. GOTO contributed roughly 70% of this figure, with a net volume of 427.53 million shares. The total number of shares purchased by foreigners reached 3.04 billion in daily transactions, while the total number of shares sold was 2.43 billion. Meanwhile, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) had the lowest net volume, with -21.76 million shares, after foreign investors released 75.03 million BBCA shares.

With a net volume of more than 147 million shares, the next focus for foreign investors was PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) shares, which were sold in as many as 202.43 million units. Foreign investors then purchased 106.99 million shares of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) and 107.40 million shares of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR). The two issuers then closed the day with 84.86 million FREN and 52.48 million BNBR in net volume. Furthermore, foreign purchases of 46.73 shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) made its net volume 41.77 million shares.

Aside from BBCA, the other issuers on the top-sell list had net volumes higher than -20 million shares. Foreign investors sold 32.98 million shares of PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), with a net volume of -19.22 million. Foreign sales of 26.89 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) and 20.57 million shares of PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) followed, resulting in a net volume of around -17 million shares for each. Finally, foreign investors sold 18.54 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), for a net volume of -14.41 million shares. (KD)
