JAKARTA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) plans to disburse cash dividend of IDR 43.49 trillion out of its net profit in the fiscal year 2022.

In the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (15/3), Aestika Oryza Gunarto, Corporate Secretary of Bank BRI, claimed that said amount of dividend is equal to 85% of the total net profit gained in 2022, which clocked up to IDR 51.17 trillion. Then, the remaining 15%, amounting to IDR 7.76 trillion, will be stored as retained earnings.

The final cash dividend includes the interim dividend that had been disbursed to shareholders on January 27, 2023, worth IDR 8.60 trillion. The remaining dividend of IDR 34.89 trillion will also be paid to shareholders, including to the government of IDR 23.15 trillion. Out of those amount, approximately IDR 4.59 trillion had been channelled on January 27, leaving the remaining IDR 18.55 trillion to be sent out to the state’s account.

The dividend allocation had been approved during the Annual General Shareholders Meeting on March 13, which was joined by 90.17% of the shareholders that represent 136.07 billion shares. Then, 99.36% of total present shareholders declared their approval regarding the dividend distribution plan. (LK/ZH)
