JAKARTA – The profit of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) was seen massively increasing by 391.69% year-on-year (yoy) to USD 1.30 billion in 2022 from USD 265.33 million reported in 2021.

According to the 2022 Financial Report quoted Wednesday (15/3), the profit growth coincided with the revenue increase that occurred as a result of the coal price surge in the global market. The revenue was recorded proliferating 175.23% yoy from USD 2.16 billion to USD 5.96 billion.

The most extensive contributor to the revenue was the coal mining and trading segment, generating USD 5.68 billion. The commerce segment only brought in USD 156.69 million, followed by cable TV and internet provider segment of USD 65.99 million, the steam power and electricity provider of USD 48.38 million, and others of USD 1.06 million.

The gross and operating profit were recorded at USD 2.64 billion and USD 1.78 billion, respectively. For comparison, in the same period in 2021, the gross and operating profit both clocked up to USD 902.11 million and USD 497.13 million. (LK/ZH)
