Jaya Ancol finally profited after 146.02% revenue surge
JAKARTA – The performance of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk (PJAA) reportedly improved after the COVID-19 pandemic subsided in 2022. The revenue clocked up to IDR 957.87 billion, shifting 146.02% year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 389.34 billion in 2021.
Daniel Nainggolan, Director of Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, mentioned that the revenue contribution mostly came from ticket sales, hotel and restaurant income, as well as other sources.
The ticket sales reached IDR 672.17 billion, consisting of tourism park of IDR 472.25 billion and gate tickets of IDR 199.91 billion. The hotel and restaurant income clocked up to IDR 77.87 billion, consisting of restaurant of IDR 55.10 billion and hotel rooms of IDR 22.77 billion. Other income sources generated IDR 210.04 billion in 2022. For comparison, in 2021, ticket sales reached IDR 217.73 billion, hotel and restaurant income IDR 39.50 billion, and others IDR 134.17 billion.
The gross profit soared 444.59% yoy from IDR 99.89 billion to IDR 544.01 billion. The profit before taxes also proliferated to IDR 291.92 billion, turning the tide from the previous loss of IDR 122.89 billion. Lastly, its net profit shifted 155.17% yoy from IDR 276.38 billion of loss to IDR 152.50 billion of net profit. (LK/ZH)
