JAKARTA. PT Champ Resto Indonesia Tbk (ENAK), the owner of 6 restaurant chains in Indonesia, managed to score net sales of IDR 1.27 trillion in 2022.

Christopher Supit, Director and Corporate Secretary of ENAK, claimed that the net sales in 2022 grew 60.3% year-on-year (yoy). “This number was the highest sales record of ENAK, growing 16.4% yoy higher than the position pre-pandemic in 2019, despite the Omicron variant cases in Q1 2022,” he mentioned in the official statement.

As the sales increase, EBITDA was also soaring 34.7% yoy to IDR 266.6 billion in 2022. In the end, the company managed to turn the tables around, booking IDR 62.3 billion of profit from the initial loss it faced last year.

Hade Mboi, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ENAK, claimed that the positive performance was supported by its massive outlet expansion strategy. In 2022, Mboi revealed that ENAK had opened 35 new outlets. “It aligns with the management’s plan that we revealed during IPO preparation last year, which is to continue expanding,” he added.

In order to maintain its business performance growth, ENAK will introduce new sub-brand this year. This sub-brand is said to reinforce the position of its existing brands. “We have signed over 40 contracts for this new outlet opening,” Mboi said.

According to IDNFinancials data, ENAK started its debut in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in February 2022. In its IPO, the company collected fresh funds of IDR 368.33 billion after offering 20% of its issued and paid-up capital to the public. (KR/ZH)
