Pandemic subsides, tiket.com to go all-out for Ramadhan promos
JAKARTA – Tiket.com, a subsidiary of PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk (BELI) or Blibli, gears up towards mass homecoming period by setting up a discount program for transportation and accommodation tickets titled Tiket Hari Raya (THR) Pol-polan with the theme of Tiket Hadirkan Rasa.
According to Maria Risa, SVP of Brand Marketing of tiket.com, THR has been an annual program of tiket.com since 2018 that is intended to anticipate high demands from the public nearing Eid. This program includes special discounts in all product lines, such as domestic and international flights, domestic and international accommodations, as well as selected tourism spot tickets in Indonesia.
“However, this year, we have something different. We are introducing a new feature, which is bus and travel tickets,” Gary Undarsa, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of tiket.com, announced during the Joint Ifthar of tiket.com. “We announced this latest feature in March, the right timing as it coincides with this year’s mass homecoming period,” he added. The bus and travel ticket feature will be included in the THR Polpolan 2023 promotional program, which will take place from April 3 to 24, 2023.
Undarsa then revealed that tiket.com has detected a rise in the masses’ mobility after community activities restriction policy was lifted. “We saw significant increase in travelling, even before Ramadhan arrives,” he stated.
Last week, the Indonesian government officially announced that the Eid joint holidays will last 7 days, starting from April 19 to 25, 2023. With the revocation of community activities restriction policy, the traffic pertaining to mass homecoming and vacation is projected to be immensely heavy. “I believe this Eid may be the biggest annual vacation period in Indonesia this year,” Undarsa said.
