Waskita Toll Road to channel loan for Teluk Balikpapan Toll Road project
JAKARTA. PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR), a subsidiary of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) that is engaged in the toll road business, has channelled a loan facility worth IDR 4.12 billion for PT Tol Teluk Balikpapan (TTB).
The facility has a tenor of one year, starting from the agreement signing date. WTR also charged TTB with an annual interest of 11.5%.
The management of WSKT said that this loan is given to support and cover TTB’s operational needs. “With this loan channelled from WTR to TTB, we hope to maximise its performance,” the management said in the official statement.
According to IDNFinancials data, TTB is a consortium made with the intention to handle the Balikpapan-Penajam Paser Utara Toll Bridge project. This consortium consists of WTR, PT Kaltim Binasarana Konstruksi, Perumda Benuo Taka, and Perusda Komaba Balikpapan.
WTR has a claim over 60% of TTB’s shares, while Kaltim Binasarana Konstruksi owns another 20%, Perumda Benuo Taka 15%, and Perusda Komaba Balikpapan 5%. (KR/ZH)
