JAKARTA – PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk (NISP) plans to distribute 40% of its consolidated net profit in 2022 as cash dividend after successfully obtaining double-digit growth in credit distribution and income, while maintaining its non-performing loan (NPL) ratio at 2.4%.

In the Public Expose of NISP today (11/4), the management revealed that the company managed to distribute IDR 137.6 trillion of credits. It was 13.9% year-on-year (yoy) higher than the IDR 120.8 trillion disbursed in 2021. Investment was still the main purpose behind those credits (44%), followed by working capital of 42% and consumption credits of 14%.

Furthermore, after deducting expenses from its interest revenue, NISP secured net interest income of IDR 8.74 trillion in 2022, increasing 14.4% yoy from IDR 7.64 trillion in 2021.
In 2022, NISP's third-party funds also increased 4.8% yoy to IDR 176.1 trillion from IDR 168.1 trillion in 2021. Approximately 45% of the funds were stored as term deposits, leaving another 55% to current accounts saving accounts (CASA).

In the end, NISP managed to book net profit attributable to the parent entity of IDR 3.3 trillion. It also increased massively by 32% yoy from IDR 2.52 trillion in 2021. Then, after the Annual General Shareholders Meeting of NISP held today (11/4), the shareholders agreed to disburse IDR 1.3 trillion of the net profit to investors as cash dividend, equal to IDR 58 per share.
