Due to the sale of GOTO, the net foreign deficit is -1.41 billion shares
JAKARTA - On Thursday, April 6, there was a deficit of 1,417,706,200 shares for the foreign net volume. This number was calculated from the difference between the total number of shares bought by foreigners, 2.13 billion, and the total number of shares sold by foreigners, 3.55 billion. The sale of 2.45 billion shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), which produced a negative net volume of more than 1.59 billion shares, was the primary factor behind the significant amount of shares sold.
Following GOTO, the shares of other issuers only saw net volumes of minus 33 to 34 million shares. A net volume of -34.99 million shares resulted from the sale of 35 million shares of PT Saptausaha Gemilangindah Tbk (SAGE) by foreign investors. Then, a net volume of -33.49 million shares was made due to these investors also selling 36.02 million PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) shares. Additionally, 25.41 million shares of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), whose net volume was recorded at nearly -20 million shares, were also released by foreign investors. However, with 44.39 million shares sold this time, PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) had the highest sales volume. Still, thanks to a sizable amount of purchases, the net volume was only down about -17.70 million shares.
On the other hand, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), with 107.17 million shares, was the company with the highest volume of foreign purchases. Even so, TLKM's net volume, which was 61.22 million shares, was not the highest this time. PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) won this position with a net volume of 73.74 million shares after foreigners bought 84.62 million BUKA shares. With 81.78 million shares purchased and a net volume of 63.12 million, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) shares were also purchased in significant quantities. Additionally, foreign investors purchased 48.57 million shares of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) and 56.85 million shares of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA). After that, the two issuers secured the net volume at 46.72 million ERAA and 36.35 million ANTM, respectively. (KD)
