JAKARTA. PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR), the cement manufacturer with the highest market capitalisation, plans to disburse cash dividend of IDR 1.65 trillion or IDR 245.19 per share that will be taken out of the 2022 net profit.

Said plan had gained approval from the Annual General Shareholders Meeting of SMGR. In said meeting, the shareholders agreed to allocate 70% of the net profit in 2022 as cash dividend.

According to IDNFinancials data, SMGR recorded net profit of IDR 2.36 trillion in the fiscal year 2022. The company also booked retained earnings of IDR 709.45 billion, as well as total equity worth IDR 47.24 trillion.

The cash dividend will be distributed to SMGR’s shareholders whose names entered the list by the recording date on May 5, 2023. The cash dividend payment will be made on May 17, 2023.

As of now, the Indonesian government controls 51.20% of SMGR, while public investors share another 48.80%, leaving the small remaining amount to boards of directors of SMGR. (KR/ZH)
