JAKARTA - PT Yulie Sekuritas Tbk (YULE) recorded a decrease in revenue and net profit of up to 27.5% year-on-year (yoy) and 30.3% yoy at the end of 2022, due to the sluggish portfolio of securities owned.

Based on the presentation by Agustinus Sumandar, YULE Securities Brokerage & Underwriter Director, when met at the YULE Annual Public Expose today (5/5), the company recorded a decrease in revenue from IDR 103.5 billion in December 2021 to IDR 74.96 billion at the end of the year 2022. In addition, profit for the year also decreased from IDR 80.68 billion to IDR 56.24 billion. "The decline was influenced by changes in the value of the company's securities portfolio," explained Sumandar.

The proportion of YULE's revenue is indeed dominated by the securities portfolio, while the revenue from securities brokerage activities is still small. "Revenue from our underwriting is also still small [proportion], because we have just started working with other securities," added Sumandar.

However, even though the proportion of brokerage services was small, Sumandar added that revenue from this segment actually increased by 82.2% yoy from IDR 1.16 billion at the end of 2021 to IDR 2.15 billion at the end of December 2022.

Then, taking into account the global conditions, the company is being realistic by targeting revenue in 2023 to be the same as last year's revenue, or exceed that figure. "We don't set grandiose target this year," said Sumandar. (ZH/LM)
