JAKARTA. PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) has just announced its plan to channel cash dividend of IDR 551.73 billion that will be taken out of its net profit in 2022.

Said plan had been approved during the Annual General Shareholders Meeting held last week. In said meeting, the shareholders agreed to allocate 49.2% of the 2022 net profit for cash dividend.

Ranty Astari Rachman, Corporate Secretary of EXCL, claimed that said cash dividend will be distributed to those registered as official shareholders by the recording date on May 17, 2023. The cash dividend will then be disbursed on May 31, 2023, with the amount of IDR 42 each.

According to IDNFinancials data, EXCL booked IDR 1.12 trillion of net profit in 2022. At the end of the year, it also recorded unrestricted retained earnings of IDR 7.55 trillion and total equity of IDR 25.77 trillion.

Until December 31, 2022, Axiata Investments (Indonesia) Sdn Bhd still controls 66.25% of EXCL. Public investors then claim another 33.15%, leaving the small remaining portion to several director of the company. (KR/ZH)
