JAKARTA - On May 11, the number of shares sold and purchased in foreign trade increased significantly. More than 3.93 billion shares were purchased by foreign investors, who also sold 3.72 billion shares, increasing the net foreign volume to 205,456,000 shares. The foreign trade this time was significantly impacted by shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). Foreigners bought 2.45 billion GOTO shares, with a fairly large net volume of 266.21 million shares. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) also had a relatively high net volume of 208.40 million shares after foreign investors bought 242.27 million of the mining company's shares.

Additionally, PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS), a company that produces palm oil, reported a net volume of 55.36 million shares with a purchase volume of 61.11 million. The following two issuers, PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk (AMAR) and PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), both reported net volumes in the range of 20 million shares. Their numbers were 27.12 million and 22.09 million shares, respectively. Foreign investors also purchased these shares in similar volumes, which were nearly 35 million AMAR shares and around 40 million FREN.

With a sales volume of 60.90 million shares, construction issuer PT Total Bangun Persada Tbk (TOTL) had the lowest net volume, at -59.27 million. With a net volume of 33.09 million and a sales volume of almost 50 million shares, mining issuer PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) came in second. Additionally, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) shares totaling 67.10 million were sold, resulting in a net volume of minus 24.61 million. The final two companies were PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) and PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA). They both recorded net volumes of approximately -23 million shares, with a volume of shares sold of 48.68 million for NCKL and 51.79 million for AKRA. (KD)
