JAKARTA - On Tuesday, May 23, net foreign volume came close to 1.8 billion shares, or 1,796,037,600 shares, to be precise. This outstanding net foreign volume figure was driven by a significant number of foreign purchases, which came to 4.22 billion, with a sales volume of only about 2.42 billion. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), which had its shares purchased by as many as 2.54 billion units by foreign investors, persisted in having the highest net volume with 1.68 billion. In contrast, the company with the lowest net volume, PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA), reported it as 151.33 million shares after 165.11 million of its shares were sold by foreign investors.

The net volumes for the other issuers on the top buy list alongside GOTO were in the range of 30 million to 70 million shares. With a purchase volume of 124.46 million shares, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) recorded a net volume of around 69.42 million. Then, with a net volume of 51.14 million shares, PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), which had 98.16 million shares purchased by foreigners, came next. Two banking issuers, PT KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), each with a net volume of 47.97 million and 36.97 million shares, respectively, followed suit. According to reports, foreign investors bought as many as 147.65 million BBRI shares and 50.64 million BBKP shares.

Meanwhile, foreigners sold 96.48 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), bringing the net volume to a negative 43.42 million shares. Additionally, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) saw a total share sale of 50.76 million, with a net volume of -22.08 million shares. Not only that, with a net volume of -20.73 million for IRSX and -15.68 million for WEGE, foreign investors dumped 23.07 million shares of digital issuer PT Aviana Sinar Abadi Tbk (IRSX) and 15.70 million shares of construction issuer PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk (WEGE).
