JAKARTA - The volume of foreign purchases of Indonesian shares reached 7.90 billion shares on Tuesday, June 6. This astounding figure was accompanied by sales volume that totaled 6.59 billion shares, allowing for this time's foreign net volume to still have a 1.30 billion surplus. Unsurprisingly, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), the issuer of on-demand services, once again had the shares with the highest net volume, which is approximately 1.19 billion shares, after foreign investors bought up 5.87 billion GOTO units.

In addition to GOTO, the media company PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) and the telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) both reported quite high net volumes. Both have sales volumes that fall between 73 and 79 million shares, with a net volume of roughly 58 million shares for each. Foreign investors also purchased around 30.69 million shares of issuer PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk (BEST) with a net volume of 25.57 million and as many as 25.03 million shares of production house PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) with a net volume of 20.82 million.

The shares of national bank PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), however, were sold by foreign investors for a total of 165.70 million shares, resulting in a negative net volume of approximately -55.17 million shares. The next two companies were PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) and its holding company, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), with net volumes of -43.34 million BRMS and -32.75 million BUMI, respectively. Around 113.16 million BRMS and 200.55 million BUMI shares were reportedly being sold by foreign investors. Following that, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) reported a sales volume of 35.78 million and a net volume of -28.88 million, along with PT Wir Asia Tbk (WIRG) finishing the top sell line with shares sold of 27.03 million and a net volume of -25.24 million.
