JAKARTA – The stock of PT Pelayaran Kurnia Lautan Semesta Tbk (KLAS) skyrocketed to the top gainers during its debut on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) yesterday (12/6). This logistics and shipping company recorded 34.93% surge until yesterday’s closing bell.

The IDX data processed by IDNFinancials today (13/6) shows that this issuer issued 2.16 billion of its shares on IDX worth IDR 40 each. The shares consist of founders’ shares of 1.62 billion units and another 540 million of public shares. At the initial listing, the shares’ price was set to IDR 146 each before increasing IDR 51 to IDR 197 per share.

The positive sentiment for the prospect in KLAS’s business drove investors to mass-buy KLAS’s shares right after it was listed on the transaction board. The foreign buy was recorded at 1.33 million, while its foreign sell reached 52,300 shares. Approximately 92.38 million of shares were being trade in 12,636 transactions worth IDR 18.19 billion in total.

At the second position, sat the stock of PT Darmi Bersaudara Tbk (KAYU), a processed wood manufacturer, after increasing 34.51%. It was steadily increasing until it arrived at IDR 152 per share, IDR 39 higher than its previous closing price of IDR 113 per share. Throughout yesterday’s transaction, KAYU once hit the lowest price level at IDR 112 per share.

The number of shares being traded clocked up to 172.41 million, all recorded within 38,986 transactions worth IDR 23.20 billion. The net foreign was down to zero, as the foreign buy and sell were the exact same, amounting to 98,600 shares. (LK/ZH)
