Although foreign trade is steady, net foreign trade is still negative by 569 million shares
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, June 14, foreign trade ended with a net foreign volume of -569,281,500. Approximately 2.28 billion shares were bought in total by foreign investors, compared to 2.85 billion shares sold. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) once again claimed the title of the issuer with the highest sales volume (1.19 billion shares) and lowest net volume (-422.04 million). The largest net volume was then recorded by PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), at 75.99 million shares, with a purchase volume of roughly 93.52 million.
A total of approximately 110.77 million shares of mining contractor service issuer PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) were sold to foreign investors, and the net volume ended at minus 84.30 million. Additionally, two telecom issuers—PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM)—recorded similarly high sales volumes, with 96.16 million FREN and 80.98 million TLKM, respectively. The two net volumes were calculated to be approximately -56.97 million FREN and -38.11 TLKM. Additionally, the mineral mining company PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA)'s 47.09 million shares were sold, leaving a net volume of roughly -34.05 million shares.
The top-selling list, on the other hand, didn't seem significant this time. After BUMI, shares of PT Saptausaha Gemilangindah Tbk (SAGE), a property issuer, saw foreign investors buy 49.62 million shares, resulting in the second-highest net volume of 40.34 million shares. Then, two energy issuers, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) and PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG), reported a net volume of roughly 17–18 million shares with sales volumes of about 20.86 million MEDC and 18.98 million ENRG, respectively. PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA), a logistics company, reported a net volume of approximately 16.77 million pieces and a foreign purchase volume of 28.94 million. (KD)
