Consistently growing, Kencana Energi Lestari readies IDR 23 billion of dividend this year
JAKARTA - PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN), a renewable energy company, prepares dividend for the fiscal year 2022 of DIR 23.83 billion. It is higher than the dividend for the fiscal year 2021 of IDR 20.03 billion.
The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of KEEN last week (16/6) set the dividend in the fiscal year 2022 to USD 1,6 million, equivalent to IDR 23.83 billion. With the number of listed shares of 3.66 billion units, the dividend per share will amount to IDR 6.5. Said amount is also higher than the dividend in the fiscal year 2021 of IDR 5.46 per share.
Since its debut on the public stock market, KEEN has never abstained from distributing dividend. In fact, the amount is ever increasing, from IDR 2.93 per share in 2019 to IDR 3.88 per share in 2020, then IDR 5.46 and IDR 6.5 per share in 2021 and 2022.
This trend is in accordance with the ever-growing financial record. Until the end of December 2022, KEEN reported significant increase in its net profit, reaching USD 14.48 million from the initial USD 8 million in 2021.
Regarding the upcoming dividend distribution, the management has set the cum and ex dividend in the regular and negotiation market to June 26-27, followed by the cum and ex dividend in the cash market on June 28 and 30, 2023. The dividend payment will be made on July 18, 2023 and channelled according to the Official Register of Shareholders by the recording date on June 28.
Until the end of May 2023, PT Paramata Indah Lestari was still listed as the controller 30.3% of KEEN’s shares, followed by TEPCO Renewable Power Inc of 25% and the public of 26.71%. Meanwhile, the remaining portion was divided among directors and commissioners of the company. (ZH)
