Energy companies getting royal with dividends, PGAS leads
JAKARTA – Several energy issuers are distributing their dividends this year from their profits in the fiscal year 2022. Below are sums of dividends of energy issuers with jumbo market capitalisation in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
Based on IDX data compiled by IDNFinancials today (21/6), some of renown energy companies with huge market cap are PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) with market cap worth IDR 37.67 trillion in May 2023, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) of IDR 31.75 trillion, and PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk (POWR) of IDR 11.28 trillion.
PGEO reportedly arranges the distribution of USD 30 million of dividend, equal to IDR 10.87 per share. It will be disbursed on July 7, based on the Official Register of Shareholders by the recording date last week (15/6). Using Bank Indonesia (BI) mid-rate last Friday (15/6) of IDR 14,943 per USD, the dividend will amount to IDR 448.29 billion.
The allocation is made based on the record of its net attributable to the parent entity of USD 127.34 million. Its unrestricted retained earnings were recorded at USD 57.37 million, while its total equity clocked up to USD 1.25 billion.
Until May 2023, PGEO’s shares were recorded at 41.39 billion shares, 69.01% of which belonged to PT Pertamina Power, leaving 5.99% to Pedeve, 15% to Masdar Indonesia, and 10% to the public.
PGAS will channel out USD 228.36 billion or equivalent to IDR 141.05 per share. The profit attributable to the parent entity was USD 326.23 million, while the equity was worth USD 3.44 million.
Until May 2023, PGAS recorded 24.24 billion listed shares, 59.964% of which belonged to PT Pertamina (Persero), while the public claimed another 43.036%, and the government had 0%.
Lastly, POWER will give out USD 44.83 million of dividend, equal to IDR 41.68 per share. Its net profit attributable to the parent company in 2022 was USD 72.53 million, while the unrestricted retained earnings reached USD 291.80 million, and total equity was worth USD 699.76 million.
Until April 2023, POWER listed 16.08 billion shares, divided amongst by PT Pentakencana of 26.64%, PT Brasali Industri of 26.64%, PT Udinda Wahanatama of 30.48%, and the public of 14.36%, as well as treasury stock of 1.88%. (LK/ZH)
