JAKARTA. PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) has increased its stake in PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME), the issuer that owns and manages EMC Hospitals.

Titi Maria Rusli, Corporate Secretary of EMTK, said that currently the company's shareholding in SAME is 13.24 billion shares or 77.30%. Previously, the company only owned 13.17 billion shares or the equivalent of 76.87%.

"The number of shares purchased was 72,688,000 shares representing 0.42% of the total shares issued and paid up by SAME," said Rusli, in an information disclosure.

EMTK purchased shares in stages from 26 May 2023 to 21 June 2023. Purchases were made at prices ranging from IDR 297 to IDR 362 per share.

"The purpose of the transaction [purchasing SAME shares] is for investment," added Rusli.

According to data from idnfinancials.com, SAME's share price in today's trading closed down 2.82% or 10 points to a level of IDR 344 per share. The number of shares traded was recorded at 4.47 million shares, with a transaction value of IDR 1.56 billion. (KR/LM)
