JAKARTA - Monday, July 3, saw a net foreign volume surplus of 324,470,700 shares on the first trading day of the month. Foreign investors purchased more than 2.46 billion shares, while foreign sales were only around 2.13 billion shares. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), a mining holding company, became the issuer with the highest net volume, at 117.15 million shares, after foreign investors purchased approximately 145.75 million BUMI shares. Meanwhile, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), an on-demand service provider, had the lowest net volume with -56.87 million shares after foreigners sold 613.98 million GOTO shares.

A national bank, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), then reported the second highest net volume, 44.10 million shares, with a foreign purchase volume of 172.54 million shares. Furthermore, two issuers, palm oil producer PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) and private bank PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP), reported similar net volumes of around 42 million shares. Still, foreign investors purchased more than 99 million NSSS shares, with BBKP accounting for only about half of that total (47.09 million shares). The top sell line was then closed by PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), a BUMI subsidiary engaged in mineral mining, with a foreign purchase volume of 34.86 million shares and a net volume of 20.67 million shares.

Foreign investors, on the other hand, released the shares of private bank PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA). At least 82.95 million BBCA shares were sold, resulting in a net volume of approximately -36.27 million. The investors also sold approximately 27–29 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an oil and gas exploration company, and PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), an investment company in the communications tower sector. Nonetheless, BIPI's net volume was slightly lower than TOWR's, at -21.45 million BIPI versus -15.04 million TOWR. Finally, foreigners sold shares in another private bank, PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk (NISP), for as many as 14.48 million shares, with a very small purchase volume, resulting in a net volume of -13.39 million shares.
