Expanding container unloading business in eastern Indonesia, TMAS establishes new subsidiary
JAKARTA. PT Temas Tbk (TMAS), a container and goods transportation company, has formed a new subsidiary, namely PT Temas Port Maluku Utara (TPMU) domiciled in North Maluku.
Marthalia Vigita, Corporate Secretary of TMAS, said that the establishment of the North Maluku Temas Port was carried out through PT Temas Port, a subsidiary of TMAS. The new business entity will be engaged in loading and unloading or stevedoring.
"The aim of the establishment of PT Temas Port North Maluku is to support the Company's business activities in handling loading and unloading of goods for North Maluku province," said Vigita, through an information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
The share ownership portion of Temas Port in TPMU is 99.9%. The remaining 0.1% shares are owned by PT Pelabuhan Temas Nusantara.
It was not disclosed how much investment was made by TMAS and Temas Port to establish the new business unit. However, the company admits that the investment value will not have a material impact on the company's financial condition. (KR/LM)
