JAKARTA. PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF) opened 23 new outlets simultaneously on Friday (7/7) today, which are spread across various provinces in Indonesia.

A number of these new outlets are located from Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, Java, Kalimantan, Gorontalo, to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

David Utama, Director of KAEF, said that the opening of dozens of new outlets was part of the company's efforts to expand its reach in various regions. "We hope that the opening of these 23 outlets will bring the community closer to access to drugs/medicine," said Utama, through an official statement.

Apart from that, KAEF has also expanded the product variants sold at a number of these new outlets. The company also added a number of non-drug product categories such as cosmetics, baby products, personal care and hygiene.

According to idnfinancials.com data, KAEF has not distributed dividends this year. The reason is that the company suffered a loss of IDR 110 billion in the 2022 financial year. Meanwhile, in the previous year, the company recorded a net profit of IDR 290 billion. (KR/LM)
