JAKARTA. PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN), the media company under MNC Group, will carry out the distribution of cash dividend of IDR 5 per share taken out of the net profit in the fiscal year 2022.

Cahyarina A. Asri, Corporate Secretary of MNCN, said that this plan is in accordance with the result of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held late June 2023. In said meeting, the shareholders agreed to allocate IDR 1 billion of the net profit in 2022 as reserve fund, IDR 5 per share as dividend, and the remaining as retained earnings.

According to IDNFinancials data, MNCN recorded net profit of IDR 2.05 trillion in the fiscal year 2022. At the end of last year, the company also held retained earnings of IDR 16.78 trillion and total equity worth IDR 19.91 trillion.

For the record, the 2022 net profit declined 15% year-on-year (yoy) due to the weakening performance of up to 9% yoy to IDR 9.06 trillion in 2022.

MNCN’s cash dividend will then be given out to shareholders whose names have been listed by the recording date on July 12, 2023. The disbursement itself will take place on August 3, 2023. (KR/ZH)
