JAKARTA - Foreign trade of Indonesian stocks on Thursday, July 6, was still showing a slight disparity. Foreign purchases totaled 2.42 billion shares, while foreign sales totaled around 2.28 billion. As a result, the net foreign volume could still have a surplus of 147,169,200 shares. This time, the stock with the highest net volume was PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), a coal mining holding company. Foreign investors purchased 208.77 million BUMI shares, bringing the net volume to around 116.13 million. On the other hand, foreigners sold as many as 116.54 million shares of the telecommunications service provider PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), resulting in the lowest net volume of -98.57 million shares.

Following BUMI, around 118.08 million shares of PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR), a content and subscription-based media holding company, were sold, for a net volume of 71.72 million shares. PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), BUMI's subsidiary engaged in mineral mine exploration and development, was next in line with a sales volume of 85.74 million shares, but the net volume was only about half that figure, at 42.75 million shares. Foreigners then purchased 32.29 million shares of PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), an oil and gas upstream service provider. Due to ELSA's modest purchase volume, the net volume—roughly 31.28 million pieces—was relatively high. Furthermore, the shares of the general contractor company, PT Paramita Bangun Sarana Tbk (PBSA), were sold without many sales, resulting in a net volume of 26.71 million shares.

PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), on the other hand, recorded the highest volume of foreign sales this time, namely around 424.02 million shares. However, the net volume nonetheless remained slightly greater than FREN, at -81.93 million. PT Metro Healthcare Indonesia Tbk (CARE) and PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) both reported minus 26 million net volumes, but CARE's foreign sales volumes were higher than TOBA's, at 30.39 million and 39.21 million shares, respectively. Finally, PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), an oil and gas tanker company, closed the top-sell list with a net volume of -25 million shares after foreigners sold as many as 41.24 million shares.
