JAKARTA - In comparison to typical stock exchange days, the volume of shares traded by foreign investors on Monday, July 10, was quite low. Foreign investors purchased approximately 1.37 billion shares, while the total number of shares sold was 1.47 billion. The net foreign volume was reported at roughly -93.30 million. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the lowest net volume this time, with -96.39 million, after foreign investors released 218.77 million shares of this on-demand services issuer. Meanwhile, foreigners purchased 54.97 million shares of mineral mining shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), which managed to become the shares with the highest net volume at 46.27 million.

PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), BRMS's parent company, also had a relatively high net volume of 43.05 million shares, with a sales volume of approximately 84.11 million shares. The national bank, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), came in next with a volume of foreign purchases of nearly 60 million shares, even though its net volume was only around 22.25 million. Then, slightly over 25 million shares of the building materials issuer PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA) were bought up, for a net volume of 21.46 million shares. PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) completed a string of top-buy shares with a purchase volume of 26.09 million shares and a net volume of 19.72 million.

PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV), on the other hand, trailed GOTO with a relatively low net volume. Foreign investors sold 45.24 million shares of this subscription television issuer and only bought the same shares in tiny quantities, making IPTV's net volume quite low at around -45.18 million shares. Foreigners also released nearly 60 million shares of PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR), another media issuer from MNC Group, for a net volume of around -26.18 million shares. The following two issuers then closed the top sell line with net volumes in the negative range of 20–21 million shares, namely the timber company PT Darmi Bersaudara Tbk (KAYU) and the cell phone and gadget distributor PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA). The foreign sales volumes of the two companies are also similar at approximately 22 million shares. (KD)
