Gov’t to offer state sukuk to public, eyeing IDR 6 trillion this time
JAKARTA. The Indonesian government will once again schedule an auction of Government Sharia Securities (lit. Surat Berharga Syariah Negara/SBSN) or State Sukuk on July 18, 2023, this time seeking an indicative target of IDR 6 trillion.
There will be six series of state sukuk offered in this upcoming round of auction. The six series in question consist of 1 Sharia Treasury Notes (lit. Surat Perbendaharaan Negara Syariah/SPN-S) and 5 series of Project-Based Sukuk (PBS).
The yield offered for SPN-S is in the form of discounts, while the yield for PBS series will vary from 5.37% to 6.87%.
The state sukuk auction will be held using the auction system set up by Bank Indonesia as the auction agent. All parties may put in their bids in the auction through the primary dealers authorised by the Ministry of Finance.
According to IDNFinancials data, the Indonesian government had held a state sukuk auction on July 4, 2023. In said round of auction, the total incoming bids clocked up to IDR 34.05 trillion, resulting in awarded amount of IDR 6 trillion. (KR/ZH)
