JAKARTA - Following a rights issue by PT Perdana Karya Perkasa Tbk (PKPK) in early July, its majority shareholder, PT Deli Pratama Batubara, decided to double the number of shares on Monday, July 17. Deli Pratama initially owned 300.54 million shares (50.09%), but the company now owns around 601.09 million shares. With the increase in the number of PKPK shares outstanding, Deli Pratama now holds approximately 66.75% of this coal and construction company.

PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia also made a large investment, purchasing 291.34 million shares of palm oil producer PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS). In addition, other investors bought additional shares in small quantities. PT Merdeka Energi Nusantara were seen purchasing an additional 4.5 million shares in PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), a manufacturer of electric vehicle batteries. In a share buyback, three additional issuers—PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (DGIK), with 9.83 million shares; PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID), with 4.62 million shares; and PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS), with 2.5 million shares—also purchased their own shares.

As for the share divestment, foreign investors were in the majority this time. The GOTO Peopleverse Fund sold 42.70 million shares of on-demand service provider PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). Bintang Bara B.V. then sold 7.5 million shares of energy company PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA). On top of that, Bank of Singapore Limited sold 1.51 million shares of PT M Cash Integrasi Tbk (MCAS), a digital self-service kiosk provider. Finally, PT Jiwa Bambu Runcing released a total of 350,400 shares of broadcast media issuer PT Net Visi Media Tbk (NETV). (KD)
