JAKARTA - Foreign net volume entered the green zone at the beginning of the final week of July, closing with a surplus of 452.50 million shares. On Monday, July 24, the total number of shares purchased by foreign investors was 2.35 billion, with a sales volume of 1.90 billion. No surprise, the shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), which were purchased by foreign investors in as many as 628.77 million units, had the highest net volume, at 223.90 million shares. However, they sold 77.06 million shares of lifestyle retailer PT MAP Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA), bringing the net volume to -38.23 million shares.

Following GOTO, the oil and gas exploration company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) recorded a foreign purchase of its 167.87 million shares, with a net volume of 138.02 million. Home improvement retailer PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) and mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) both reported foreign spending of 86 million shares. The net volumes of the two issuers also differed only slightly, with around 58.43 million ACES and 53.45 million BRMS. Meanwhile, BRMS' parent company, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), reported a net volume of 44.58 million shares, despite the fact that foreign purchases totaled 177.97 million shares.

Foreign investors, on the other hand, sold 47.10 million shares of PT Adaro Energy Indonesia (ADRO). As a result, this coal issuer's net volume was approximately negative at 35.76 million shares. Palm producer PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) came in next with a net volume of -30.72 million and a foreign sales volume of 93.85 million. Furthermore, the shares of national aviation company PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) were sold at a total of 29.04 million shares, with minor purchases, making its net volume -27.50 million shares. Finally, another state-owned-company PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) reported a sales volume of approximately 30.53 million and a net volume of nearly -20 million shares. (KD)
