JAKARTA - The performance of PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) has moved up in the first semester of 2023. In the first semester of 2022, this issuer's performance has been sloping compared to a similar period in 2021.

Based on the data compiled by idnfinancials.com on Wednesday (26/7), this issuer posted sales of IDR 1.65 trillion, an increase from the same period in 2022 of IDR 1.61 trillion. The sales achievement in the first half of 2023 matched the sales performance in a similar period in 2021 of IDR 1.65 trillion.

Gross profit was recorded at IDR 877.54 billion and profit for the current period IDR 448.10 billion, showing an increase from the first semester of 2022 worth IDR 859.44 billion and IDR 445.59 billion respectively. However, this achievement has not rebounded compared to the results in the same period in 2021, where gross profit and current period profit were recorded at IDR 930.08 billion and IDR 502 billion.

Performance recovery in the first semester of 2023 was triggered by growth in sales of Jamu Herbal and Supplement products. This segment recorded revenue of IDR 1 trillion, followed by Food and Beverage products of IDR 595.19 billion, and Pharmaceuticals of IDR 55.15 billion. In the first quarter of 2022, the Jamu Herbal and Supplements product segment contributed IDR 988.73 billion in revenue, Food and Beverages IDR 544.81 billion, and Pharmacy IDR 78.54 billion.
