Multipolar acquired 1.05 billion shares of Matahari Putra (MPPA), bringing its total ownership to 7.07 billion shares
JAKARTA - Following a large purchase of PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA) shares the previous week, PT Multipolar Tbk added another 1.05 billion MPPA shares on Friday, July 28. Even this controlling shareholder's ownership percentage increased from 50.65% to 54.57%, for a total of 7.07 billion shares.
Furthermore, as many as 9 million shares of electric vehicle battery manufacturer PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) were added to PT Merdeka Energi Nusantara's holdings this time, bringing its ownership percentage to 49.9%. Lawrence Tjandra, an individual investor, also purchased 7.43 million shares of PT Wira Global Solusi Tbk (WGSH), a technology company. The mining company PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) and department store operator PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS) then chose the share buyback, totaling 4.88 million DOID and 2.5 million RALS, respectively. PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk was also seen increasing its stake in PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME), a hospital issuer, by 2.45 million shares.
PT Majukarya Mandiri Indonesia, on the other hand, conducted the largest divestiture this time by releasing 50.60 million shares of oil and gas tanker issuer PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL). PT Eratex Djaja Tbk (ERTX)'s controlling shareholder, PT Ungaran Sari Garments, was also seen selling shares, though only as many as 500 thousand pieces. Meanwhile, in the foreign market, GOTO Peopleverse Fund sold 16.20 million shares of technology issuer PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), while Bintang Bara B.V. sold 10.05 million shares of energy issuer PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA).
