Finally, the foreign net volume was able to climb above 275 million shares in surplus
JAKARTA - Despite closing at minus on the first two trading days of August, net foreign volume was finally able to climb into the green zone on Thursday, August 3. The total number of shares purchased by foreign investors this time reached 2.15 billion, while the total number of shares sold was 1.87 billion, resulting in a net foreign surplus of up to 275,621,600 shares. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) had the highest net volume this time, with 103.42 million shares after foreign investors purchased 189.02 million shares of this mining holding company.
PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), one of BUMI's subsidiaries, also saw significant foreign purchases, with 102.06 million shares, followed by PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) with 97.88 million shares. Nonetheless, BUKA's net volume trailed BUMI's at 86.15 million shares, while BRMS's net volume was only around 45.81 million shares. The mining contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) then reported a net volume of 72.59 million shares and a foreign purchase volume of 86.69 million shares. Furthermore, foreigners purchased nearly 70 million shares of PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS), a palm oil producer, with a concluded net volume of 62.51 million shares.
The lowest net volume this time, around -37 million shares, was recorded simultaneously by two issuers, namely electronic retailer PT Damai Sejahtera Abadi Tbk (UFOE) and cinema company PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (CNMA). The two issuers also reported similar foreign sales volumes in the 40–45 million share range. Foreign investors also bought 44.52 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), bringing the broadcasting company's net volume to -34.32 million shares. The top sell line was then closed by two issuers, namely industrial estate developer PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) and oil and gas exploration company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), both of which reported foreign net volumes of negative 27–28 million shares. The two issuers' foreign sales total 34.15 million KIJA and 29.04 million BIPI. (KD)
