Trimegah Sekuritas invested in Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR) by purchasing 1.16 billion shares
JAKARTA - On Thursday, August 3, investment firm PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk became a new investor in PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR). Trimegah Sekuritas now owns 5.28% of the issuer, which focuses on manufacturing and infrastructure, after taking over 1.16 billion shares.
PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk acquired additional shares, purchasing 8.47 million shares of the hospital company PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME), slightly increasing this majority shareholder's ownership from 77.37% to 77.42%. PT Bogamulia Nagadi also purchased 2.07 million shares from PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (TSPC), a pharmaceutical company. Furthermore, UOB Kay Hian Private Limited, a foreign investor, was seen purchasing shares of PT Hatten Bali Tbk (WINE), a wine company, while individual investor Winston Karim purchased 5,000 shares of PT Ricky Putra Globalindo Tbk (RICY), an apparel manufacturer.
Aside from that, stock buybacks were observed at two issuers. First, mining holding company PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) purchased 7 million DOID shares, while department store company PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS) purchased 2 million RALS shares.
Foreign investor GOTO Peopleverse Fund, on the other hand, sold 51.30 million shares of technology company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), followed by Bintang Bara B.V.'s sale of 7.5 million shares of energy issuer PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA). Finally, Hendra, an individual investor, dumped 13.8 million shares of Express Taxi, PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk (TAXI). (KD)
