JAKARTA - At the end of the second weekend of August, foreign investors released 2.05 billion shares. On the other hand, the total number of shares purchased was only around 1.68 billion, resulting in a foreign net volume of minus 371,991,100 shares on Friday, August 11. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the highest sales volume and the lowest net volume, with 888.36 million and -511.43 million shares, respectively. Meanwhile, the mining parent issuer PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) had the highest net volume, which amounted to 80.96 million shares after foreign investors purchased 100.48 million shares of BUMI.

Furthermore, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and palm oil producer PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) reported negative net volumes of approximately 23–25 million shares. Foreign investors sold a significant amount of BBRI and NSSS stock, totaling 62.94 million shares of BBRI and 66.38 million shares of NSSS. In addition, two issuers reported net volumes in the range of minus 15–16 million shares, namely fuel oil distributor PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) and telecommunications company PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL). The two did not appear to have a large sales volume, with only 24.72 million AKRA and 20.97 million MLPL sold.

Following in the footsteps of BUMI, the shares of its mineral mining subsidiary, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), were sold for nearly 90 million shares, with a net volume of nearly 70 million shares. With a net volume of nearly 64 million shares, e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) came in next. The foreign purchase volume for BUKA itself was slightly higher than BRMS, at nearly 104 million shares. Also, foreigners purchased 56.78 million shares of PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas (VKTR), an electric vehicle manufacturer, for a net volume of 37.63 million. Finally, fisheries issuer PT Cilacap Samudera Fishing Industry Tbk (ASHA) reported 16.71 million shares in foreign purchases but no significant sales, so the net volume was relatively high at 15.32 million shares.
