JAKARTA. PT Sumber Global Energy Tbk (SGER), the coal trading company, had secured another coal transport contract to Vietnam worth 2.5 million metric tons (MT). 

Michael Harold, Corporate Secretary of SGER, revealed that this contract is obtained from Viet Phat Import Export Trading Investment (VPIETI). Based on the official disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Harold mentioned that VPIETI is a state-owned enterprise of Vietnam.

"It is to supply coals for Song Hau Steam Power Plant 1," Harold mentioned.

Previously, on August 10, 2023, SGER reportedly announced the new coal transport contract to Vietnam with a volume of 2.5 million MT. It was obtained from Vosco Maritime Service Joint Stock Company.

For the record, SGER will boost coals sales this year to 8.51 million tons. Until the first quarter of 2023, the coals sales were recorded reaching 2.5 million tons. (KR/ZH)
