Foreign net volume dropped further, reaching 107 million shares in the negative
JAKARTA - Foreign net volume dropped further on Tuesday, August 15, to minus 107,126,300 shares. This time, foreign investors purchased approximately 2.55 billion shares, while shares sold totaled 2.66 billion. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) and PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were in the spotlight once again, with GOTO having the lowest net volume (-313.90 million) and BUMI having the highest net volume (126.47 million). Foreign investors were seen selling over 1.02 billion GOTO shares while purchasing over 212.27 million BUMI shares.
The holding company of the MNC Group, PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk (BHIT), then reported a net volume of around -118.42 million shares after nearly 130 million of its shares were sold. Meanwhile, the net volumes of the national bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and the geothermal energy company PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), were reported in the negative, with minus 40–42 million shares. These companies had total sales volumes of 66.39 million BBRI and 72.88 million PGEO. The foreign net volume of cinema company PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (CNMA) was also minus around 26.62 million after foreigners sold 30.26 million of its shares.
Foreign investors, on the other hand, purchased more than 90 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), with the net volume closing at 75.58 million shares. PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), an oil and gas exploration and production company, also saw the investors purchase its shares in the volume of 55.35 million, for a relatively high net volume of nearly 50 million shares. Following that, the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) recorded a net volume of nearly 40 million shares despite a sales volume of 88.48 million. The top buy list was then closed by the coal mining company PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), which had a foreign sales volume of 47.03 million and a net volume of 35.46 million. (KD)
