JAKARTA - PT Uni Charm Indonesia Tbk (UCID) scored IDR 184.95 billion of net profit in the first half of 2023, shifting 59.83% from the same period in 2022 of IDR 115.71 billion. This achievement resulted from revenue growth and gains from foreign exchanges.

Based on the Financial Report of H1 2023 quoted today (16/8), UCID’s revenue was recorded at IDR 5.38 trillion, moving from IDR 5.06 trillion seen in the same period in 2022. The gross profit reached IDR 1.04 trillion growing from IDR 926.08 billion, leading to current net profit that rose from IDR 11.571 billion to IDR 184.95 billion.

The net profit growth in H1 2023 was supported by the increase in financial income from IDR 12.73 billion to IDR 14.89 billion. The gains on foreign exchanges contributed IDR 5.05 billion, as opposed to loss of IDR 133 million in H1 2022. Other income also grew from IDR 4.6 billion to IDR 14.11 billion.

The primary contributor of the revenue was the third-party users, also increasing from IDR 4.41 trillion to IDR 4.84 trillion, whereas related-party users contribute less, from IDR 650.57 billion to only IDR 541.05 billion. (LK/ZH)
