JAKARTA - On Tuesday, August 22, the volume of foreign transactions, both purchases and sales, was in the 2.9 billion share range. Foreign investors purchased approximately 2.87 billion shares and sold approximately 2.96 billion shares. This time, the net foreign volume was concluded at 89,350,700 shares in the negative. The shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were also sold in large quantities, totaling 134.80 million shares, with a net volume of around -23.30 million. After foreign investors sold 38.69 million MTEL shares and 22.67 million SMIL shares, the telecommunications infrastructure company PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) and forklift rental company PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk (SMIL) closed this list with a net volume of around minus 14–16 million shares.

PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), a subsidiary of BUMI, then opened the top buy list with the highest net volume, at 97.90 million shares. Foreign investors purchased over 346.44 million shares of this mineral mining company. Furthermore, two SOEs, the national bank PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) and the telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), reported a net volume of around 30 million shares. The two issuers made significant foreign purchases, totaling approximately 62.14 million BMRI and 70.49 million TLKM. Besides, coal mining company PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) and palm oil producer PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) both reported similar net volumes, around 28 million shares, after 32.51 million PTBA shares and 86.05 million NSSS shares were passed on to foreign ownership.
