Individual investors are eagerly buying and selling shares
JAKARTA - Individual investors with more than 5% ownership were busy trading shares on Monday, August 14. Leonard Setiawan began by selling 39.21 million shares in PT Widiant Jaya Krenindo Tbk (WIDI), a heavy equipment rental company. Another investor, Hendra, also sold 14 million shares of PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk (TAXI), a taxi company. Dimas Wibowo, on the other hand, decided to invest up to 6.37 million shares in the management company of the Lucy in the Sky rooftop bar, PT Lima Dua Lima Tiga Tbk (LUCY), while Prajogo Pangestu, the majority shareholder of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), made the same decision by adding 2 million shares of this natural resource company to his stakes.
Following that, PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS), a department store company, bought back 10.40 million shares as part of its investment decision. This was followed by PT Merdeka Energi Nusantara, which purchased 3.45 million shares of PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), an electric vehicle battery manufacturer, and PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk, which purchased 1.29 million shares of hospital company PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME).
Foreign investors in the GOTO Peopleverse Fund, on the other hand, continue to routinely divest shares of technology company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), this time up to 54.35 million shares. PT Esa Gemilang also sold 19 million shares of coal mining company PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk (COAL), and the investor on behalf of the Deputy Attorney General on Special Criminal Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia sold 5.71 million shares of the hospital company PT Royal Prima Tbk (PRIM).
