JAKARTA - Foreign investors traded more than 6 billion shares on Wednesday (August 23). Foreign purchases totaled 3.01 billion shares, while foreign sales totaled 3.22 billion shares. As a result, the foreign net volume was 196,265,300 shares in the negative. The foreign sales volume of digital ecosystem company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) was the highest this time, reaching 1.17 billion shares. GOTO's net volume was also at a record low of -433.17 million. Meanwhile, PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) had the highest net volume, 136.84 million shares, after foreign investors purchased 272.01 million shares of this palm oil producer.

More than 65 million shares of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) also left foreign holdings, bringing the net volume to less than 50 million shares. Then, PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR), a manufacturing and infrastructure company, reported a net volume of -24.79 million shares and a sales volume of 28 million. Following that, two issuers, e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) and electric vehicle manufacturer PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), reported net volumes in the range of -19 million shares. Nonetheless, foreign sales volume to BUKA was around 96.36 million shares, which was significantly higher than VKTR's 23.23 million share volume.

Foreign investors, on the other hand, were quite interested in the shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) and have purchased over 232.80 million shares of this mineral mining company. BRMS's net volume was quite high, reaching 96.60 million shares. Following that, PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk (SMIL), a forklift rental company, recorded a volume of foreign purchases of nearly 50 million pieces, with a net volume of 40.35 million shares. Foreign investors then purchased 21.96 million shares of PT Industri dan Perdagangan Bintraco Dharma Tbk (CARS) but did not sell many, resulting in a net volume of 21.62 million shares for the automotive company. Finally, Nusantara Property, or PT Surya Permata Andalan Tbk (NATO), recorded a foreign purchase volume of approximately 19.23 million and a net volume of 18.13 million units. (KD)
