JAKARTA - On Monday, August 28, individual investor Virenthy Maksud purchased 730.73 million shares of PT Intikeramik Alamasri Industri Tbk (IKAI). Virenthy now owns approximately 5.49% of IKAI, a porcelain manufacturer, as a result of this share purchase. This investor was listed as having purchased shares through two different brokerage firms, PT Mirae Asset Sekuritas and PT Mandiri Sekuritas. The GOTO Peopleverse Fund, on the other hand, released 867.90 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), a digital ecosystem company that provides on-demand services, through PT Stockbit Sekuritas Digital.

Several other investors purchased shares as well, albeit in much smaller quantities. Dimas Wibowo, an individual investor, purchased 13.23 million shares of the company that manages Lucy in the Sky rooftop bar, PT Lima Dua Lima Tiga Tbk (LUCY). PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS) also persisted in buying its own stock, this time as many as 2.5 million shares. Then, around 1.22 million shares of natural gas distributor PT GTS Internasional Tbk (GTSI) were added to PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk's investment, and PT Bogamulia Nagadi added 581,500 shares of pharmaceutical company PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (TSPC) to its investment.

MNC Group's parent company, PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk, on the other hand, sold 33.02 million shares of PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR), one of its subsidiaries in the media sector. PT Esa Gemilang also went on to sell 4.70 million shares of PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk (COAL), a coal producer. Individual investor Faadhil Irshad Nasution then released shares in two companies at the same time: 51,800 shares in PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT) and 8,300 shares in PT Kedaung Indah Can Tbk (KICI). MRAT makes cosmetics and herbal products, whereas KICI makes household appliances. (KD)
