Gov’t eyes IDR 14 trillion in SUN auction next week
JAKARTA. The Indonesian Government will hold an auction of Government Securities (lit. Surat Utang Negara/SUN) on next Tuesday (5/9), aiming for an indicative target of IDR 14 trillion.
There will be 7 series of SUN offered in next week’s auction. They will consist of 2 series of Government Treasury Notes (lit. Surat Perbendaharaan Negara/SPN) and 5 FR series of Government Bonds (lit. Obligasi Negara/ON).
The entire offered SUN are Reopening series, or those that are offered again in the auction. The yield for SPN series is in the form of discount, while ON series’ yields range from 6.37% to 7.12%.
SUN auction will be arranged using a system by Bank Indonesia. It will be an open auction with a multiple price scheme. All interested parties submit their bids through auction participants authorised by the Ministry of Finance.
According to IDNFinancials data, the government previously recorded state sukuk auction on August 29, 2023. In said auction, the total incoming bids in the auction reached IDR 21.28 trillion, and the awarded amount clocked up to IDR 6 trillion. (KR/ZH)
