GOTO's net foreign volume is in excess; net foreign is also surplus by 235 million
JAKARTA - PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) reported the highest net foreign volume on Wednesday, August 30, with 176 million shares. Foreign investors purchased 560.33 million GOTO shares while selling 123.85 million of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI)'s shares, making the national bank’s net volume the lowest, with -78.20 million shares. Overall, foreign investors bought more than 2.36 billion shares and sold 2.13 billion shares, resulting in a foreign net volume surplus of 235,285,500 shares this time.
Furthermore, foreign investors purchased more than 120 million shares of the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) and its parent company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI). Both foreign nets were also roughly the same size, with 46.94 million BRMS and 46.22 million BUMI. Nonetheless, PT Puradelta Lestari Tbk (DMAS) had a higher foreign net than the previous two issuers, around 61.86 million shares, after foreign investors purchased 62.11 million shares of this property developer without purchasing a large number of shares. Foreigners also purchased more than 40 million shares of mining contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA), bringing the total volume to 22 million shares.
Foreign investors, on the other hand, sold nearly 50 million shares of PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk (SMIL), resulting in a negative net foreign volume of 39.10 million for the forklift rental company. MNC Group's parent company, PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk (BHIT), came in next with a net volume of -28.91 million shares after 33.92 million shares were also released. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) and PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) both reported foreign sales of around 39 million shares. The two issuers are energy-related state-owned enterprises. Both had net volumes that differed only slightly, at -24.40 million PGAS and -21.67 million PGEO. (KD)
