JAKARTA - On Tuesday, August 29, PT Sunterra Indonesia, the owner of 1 billion shares of PT Cerestar Indonesia Tbk (TRGU), purchased an additional 714.28 million shares through PT Semesta Indovest Sekuritas. Sunterra's stake in this wheat flour producer rose from 12.59% to 21.58%.

Another notable event was the first-ever share buyback by PT Dian Swastika Sentosa Tbk, which totalled 48 million shares, or approximately 6.23% share ownership. This issuer is a subsidiary of the Sinarmas Group, which operates in the energy and infrastructure sectors. The department store PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS), which recently purchased 2.5 million shares, was another company that kept conducting share buybacks. Additionally, PT Bogamulia Nagadi purchased 640,000 shares of PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (TSPC), and PT Suprakreasi Eradinamika purchased 180,000 shares of PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk (ARNA). TSPC is a pharmaceutical company, while ARNA is a ceramics manufacturer.

Meanwhile, the GOTO Peopleverse Fund continued to sell 104.45 million shares of the technology company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO), followed by PT Anugerah Bumiputra, which sold 45 million shares of the helicopter rental company PT Jaya Trishindo Tbk (HELI). PT Aladin Global Ventures also dumped 15 million shares of digital sharia bank PT Bank Aladin Syariah Tbk (BANK), while PT Esa Gemilang released 1.95 million shares of coal producer PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk (COAL). Finally, individual investor Eddo Chandra sold nearly 6 million shares of PT Betonjaya Manunggal Tbk (BTON), a steel and iron producer. (KD)
