JAKARTA - On Wednesday, August 30, textile company PT Argo Pantes Tbk (ARGO) welcomed PT Agro Manunggal Triasta as the new owner of 380 million ARGO shares. Through PT Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia, Agro Manunggal immediately acquired 11.97%, or nearly 12% of the issuer's shares.

UOB Kay Hian Private Limited, an investor based in Singapore, purchased a total of 21 million shares of the aquaculture company PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk (CPRO). This time, the stock market also saw two share buybacks: one by PT Dian Swastika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) with 15.75 million shares and one by PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS) with 2.5 million shares. In addition, PT Suprakreasi Eradinamika purchased 490,000 shares in ceramic manufacturer PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk (ARNA).

Investors, on the other hand, only sold shares in small quantities this time. The first was GOTO Peopleverse Fund, which sold 7.95 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), a technology company. Following that, PT Esa Gemilang released 1.67 million PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk (COAL) shares, and individual investor Winston Karim released 1.52 million PT Ricky Putra Globalindo Tbk (RICY) shares. COAL is a coal producer, whereas RICY is an apparel manufacturer. PT Eratex Djaja Tbk (ERTX) shares were also sold in a volume of 200,000 units by its majority shareholder, PT Ungaran Sari Garments, while the Deputy Attorney General on Special Criminal Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia sold 38,700 shares of PT Himalaya Energi Perkasa Tbk (HADE), an investment company in the LPG distribution sector.
